There are going to be lots of things you can do in a casino, depending of course where those casinos are. If you are in Vegas then you can drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and even sit there singing whilst playing a slot machine, as long as you are not making a nuisance of yourself.

From what OP posted, it was the husband that was playing the slot that paid out a bonus and he handed the voucher to his wife.
Now, if someone was playing that slot (where hubby won), won some money and walked away from the slot machine without taking a voucher or money, they have abandoned their winnings. There would be no theft. So either hubby is lying as to were he got the voucher or security made a big mistake or it could have been a security sting. Either way, I would be telling my tale to an attorney.

no it is not abandoning the money. There is no finders keepers law.
But I suspect the extra money came from the ATM type machine you insert your voucher and it spits out cash.
Regardless if you find money its not yours and taking it with the intent to keep it is theft or conversion.
if the voucher the husband gave op that is the issue, the fact she cashed it and she was on camera cashing it, she is who security is going to interrogate as the probable thief.

chips and gives the money to the first party or even a third party. That way second party claims innocence. They don't have the voucher/chips on them or the cash. All they have is an empty wallet on them and they were nowhere near where voucher/chips got stolen from. Actual thief never cashed out voucher or chips (which can be proven by the cameras at the ATM).
